Having tried various bike mirrors to keep an eye on both the traffic and to make sure my wife is still ok, nothing really worked too well. Having seen TryEye on instagram I thought I’d give them a try and although we do take our cycles over to Europe with our motorhome I opted for the British version and to be honest if you twist your head I’m pretty sure they’d work fine abroad. All in all really pleased with them.
I’m an older rider this is great!! My neck doesn’t turn like it used to.
The mirror is like the wing mirror on a car. Adjusts in a similar way. The mirror is in front of my face (obviously) so I need to tilt my head up and right to see the road behind me, it isnt just a question of moving my eyes to look down. The mirror does also create a blindspot when looking right to turn out at a junction. The mirror is absolutely brilliant. Taking a few hours to get used to using it, a quick head tilt pans the entire road behind me. I can see a cyclist directly behind or cars to my rear right by panning my head. The mirror works much better than bar end mirrors I have used in the past. Definitely recommend. Also the reactive lenses I bought work really well, completely clear at night and adjust well as light becomes brighter. Recommended
I received my Trieye glasses and immediately began wearing them when cycling on the road and local rail trails. I absolutely love them. It took a few rides for me to get adjusted to them. The mirror works fantastically well. They are well designed and constructed.
After I got through the learning curve with my new Trieye’s I can’t imagine riding without them. In fact I did ride without them one day and I just kept looking at the spot where the mirror was and being disappointed every time I didn’t see anything. They now go with me for every ride. Great idea and fills such a basic need.
Took a couple rides to get used to them, but now I LOVE them!
Very good perfect glasses, a very safe way to ride
Just outstanding. I ride most days, country lanes in the UK and I’m forever looking over my shoulder when avoiding drains and pot holes..I was initially sceptical that they would be a distraction and I’d be looking behind me more than the road in-front but 5 rides in and the odd glance at 2 o’clock is all I’m doing..just amazing and well done to the inventors..any chance of a small Bluetooth camera for the other lens😂😂
Took a bit of getting used to, but a brilliant idea.
Feel safer (100 percent). Found my self looking round to check now and again but yes great. Looking forward to getting a second pair. Thanks 👍.
I got my dual view Trieye photochromic glasses a week ago and have used them twice rowing my single shell and twice biking on roads and trails. At first it took a bit of getting used to having to raise my head as well as turn slightly, but I quickly got used to it and made some mirror adjustments. For rowing they are far superior to the standard mirror I had been clipping to my glasses. More of a stable view, wider angle, and having them on both sides lets me confirm my position and avoid hazards.
The photochromic feature has worked well, taking out the glare and lightening up on overcast days
I’m impressed and totally satisfied. Comfortable fit, stable head position, and appear to be durable. The mirror position stays put nicely, at least in these first few outings.
I’ve got a triathalon tomorrow, (Row, Bike, and Run) and am excited to be able to use the trieye for all 3 events!
First time using them today and they were excellent. Easy to get use too and made my journey much easier and enjoyable. Would highly recommend.
Significant concept, needs several days of adjusting and more importantly ,,,, head and neck flexion/rotation/extension and memory to get back to the same viewing angle. I wonder if a small diopter of convexity to the mirror might give a wider field of view thus minimizing the necessary head gyroscopic task. Not taking away, this is a formidable product.
I am new to cycling and did not like looking behind me while riding. I Did some research and found TriEye and feel much safer riding with these glasses.
I had another pair of poly chromatic TriEyes that I got about 3 years ago. They were really great but I noticed in the last year that the poly chromatic glass was not getting dark in the sun so I decided to replace them a few weeks ago. I had also dropped them and the mirror had fallen out but I was able to get it back in place. The new ones are much better than my first pair and I highly recommend!
I had the original trieye glasses from kickstarter but they lacked the photochromic lenses. I've bought this pair and they are excellent.
The quality has increased, the mirror works better and photochromic lenses just do an excellent job on the bike.
I would call these glasses better safety equipment than the helmet and I recommend trying them out.
TriEye glasses are very high quality, exactly what.I want to wear for my bicycle rides.
One of the best choices of my life. It exceeded my expectations.
Very good product i recommebt it. Takes a second to get used to. Takes a couple of laps around to adjust. You still have to look a little to the left to check but now i dont have to twist so much.
Takes a second to get used too but very good product. You still have to look to the left a little bit now i dont have to twist so hard to look behind me. This really helps a lot. Takes a couple of laps around the neighborhood yo adjust properly. Recommend this product.
Great product. Glasses make me feel safer on the road. No bulky mirrors. Would absolutely recommend to any cyclist.
Give the peace of mind that I needed to feel safe on the road. Gives me a fighting chance of not pulling out into traffic. I love them.
I ride on primarily back country exactly May and narro roads which can be busy at times with commuters and other cyclists. I also venture into a bustling small town almost daily for errands and grocery shopping. Being surprised by a fast moving car or another cyclist overtaking me (I’m 69) had led to some close calls, and of course trying to navigate in town with cars flying all about is stressful.
I thought I’d try TriEye. It took roughy one short rode to get adjusted to it - who mostly was merely finding the horizontal/vertical adjustment sweet spot. The moment I got it dialed in it felt completely natural and I felt safer on the road then I have in 40 years of biking. They look swank as **** on meet, too.
I definite recommend these to any level of rider from a newbie to a pro.
I used the clip on rear view mirrors for years and would accidentally knock them off or break them all the time. Not so with these glasses. Also no jitter in the mirror when riding on bumpy roads
I received my TriEye glasses 2 weeks ago and they have completely changed my level of confidence on the road. The clarity on the mirror is amazing. It took me a couple of rides to find he right position of the mirror, but I’m loving them now. Highly recommend.
