I recently bought a pair of cycling glasses from TriEye, mainly because of their integrated rear-view mirror. After using them on the road, I can honestly say that this small feature has made a surprisingly big difference to my riding experience and, most importantly, to my sense of safety.
The mirror allows me to see what is happening behind me without having to turn my head. I can see cars approaching from the left well before I hear them, which gives me enough time to assess the situation and position myself safely on the road. For me, this is the biggest advantage of the TriEye glasses.
The glasses themselves are very comfortable. I chose the photochromic lenses and also ordered a second pair with blue reflective lenses. Switching between the two is very easy and takes about a minute.
I was also pleasantly surprised by how quickly I adapted to the mirror. I had no difficulties at all, and it took me less than an hour to get completely used to looking into it. I initially adjusted the mirror according to TriEye's instructions, with the shorter medial edge following the contour of my left cheek and the longer edge following the contour of my left shoulder.
I have seen some concerns from users who feel that the mirror is too large and might obstruct the left side of their field of vision. Personally, I don't find this to be an issue at all. Once properly adjusted, I barely notice the mirror while looking ahead, and I never feel that it interferes with my forward vision.
I have used the glasses both on my road bike, where my riding position is naturally a little more forward-leaning, and on my MTB. The mirror requires a small adjustment when switching between the two bikes, but this takes only a few seconds.
Another thing I really like is the size of the lenses. They are noticeably larger than those of some of my previous cycling glasses. This provides excellent protection from the wind, and even on longer rides I haven't had the problem I occasionally experienced with my previous glasses, where tiny particles of dust, sand or small insects would somehow find their way into my eyes.
Overall, I am genuinely impressed with the TriEye glasses. They are comfortable, practical and, above all, they give me a much better awareness of what is happening behind me without having to constantly turn my head.
I would wholeheartedly recommend them to any cyclist, especially those who spend a lot of time riding on the road. Once you put them on and realise that you can see what's happening behind you, you may find yourself wondering how you ever rode without them.
Highly recommended!
These clip-on glasses are just what I was hoping for. I was a bit worried they may not have a big enough field of view but I was happy to find out they give ample view behind me.
I usually use a mirror on my glasses. I decided to give this a try except for a small field division which takes getting used to the product works well. The only reason why I didn't give it. Five stars was because of the Ltd field of view. The glasses are comfortable I got the darkening ones. They don't get as dark as I thought they would, but they are adequate. I have used them now for three weeks about six times and getting more used to them. I find sometimes when I turn my head, I go in that direction so I have to be more careful.
I have used them on my bicycle-tours almost every day. Very happy with them.

I use my TriEye glasses for rowing a single on the Charles River in Boston. The double mirrors are invaluable while naviagting other boats, channel markers and various similar obstacles. I highly recommend these TriEye glasses!
Very impressed. Takes a bit of minor adjusting to get the mirrors in the ideal position each time, but once done, extremely clear, albeit with small mirror vision.
Id say first impression is good. You still have to play with the mirror and turn your head a bit to get a view of the rear. It is not where you do not have to turn your head at all. I may get some new lenses.
I’ve been rowing with a bike mirror for over 20 years. No matter how careful I was, I would still get surprised by things I had not seen over my right shoulder (other rowers, fishing boats, buoys). Having a mirror on the right really increases safety. The 0-3 photochromic lens provides clear and comfortable vision in all light conditions. I hope TriEye comes out with a bifocal photochromic for those of us who need a bit of magnification on the bike to see maps and phones.
Using my view glasses every session on the water while rowing. Part of my essential equipment i use. They do need a few sessions to get used to but soon becomes second nature. Highly recommend
These glasses have changed my bike riding experience. The polarized option really helps better the sun and the mirror (once properly adjusted) is so helpful. Just love them.
Surprisingly easy to set up and adapt to it. For me, the trick is to slowly tilt the head to the left while keeping the road behind in the mirror’s field of view. So far, no complaints.
Had the original polychromatic lenses that started to exhibit cracks around the mirror, despite being outside the warranty period, TriEye did provide a rebate on a replacement lenses. Happy with the resolution.
Best TriEye yet. Have all previous models. Lens quality much better. Mirror much improved. All bike riders Ned a pair for safety!! Work so well.
Nice surprise and little dissapoinment. The product is fine. Well designed, stylish and practical. Pretty much as I expected. In the box I found nice surprise - replaceable specatcle lens. So one can change the one with the mirror and have "regular" spectacles. But the little instruction how to do it is illegible. I am afraid to brake the lens - I think short utube how to do it would help...
Hi Igor, thank you for your detailed feedback! We're glad you liked the design and enjoy the versatility of the replaceable lenses.
We also have a video on how to change the lens here (We will make it more clear): https://trieye.com/pages/help-classic-change-lens
Feel free to reach out if you need any assistance. Thanks again, Cheers!
Great, quality product. Swapping lenses is easy. I ride with a radar but having the built in mirror adds confidence. Also, when riding in a group, I can see who is drafting behind me or may have dropped off the back. Great addition to my bike gear.
The View is a game-changer for sculling! I have lost a LOT of hat- or sunglass-mounted bicycle rear-view mirrors to the bottom of our lake over the years. Plus, hats and glasses inevitably slide down my nose, and then the focal point is lost. Tri-Eye View completely solves all these problems, and I no longer have to stop rowing to check where I’m going!
... but with a bit of practice, they're just awesome 😎. I have multiple ebikes with multiple mounted mirrors that I'm constantly banging while moving the in and out of the house and having to readjust. These glasses have allowed me to remove them all, along with the accompanying headaches. Truth be told, the glasses have a superior field of view as well.
I love them. My anxiety on busy roads had decreased significantly because I can see the vehicles behind me at a surprising distance. I like how easy the mirror is to adjust. My only criticism is that because the glasses don't curve around my face, my eyes water more on descents. But that's not enough to stop me from wearing them!
Super easy to swap out. Didn't come with instructions but you just have to pop the old mirror off with a little force. The larger size does make it easier to use with less eye strain.
