ⓘ Good to know — The View Sharp comes with its own larger mirror — a redesigned unit with an improved socket. It’s not the same part as the Original’s larger mirror, and the two don’t interchange. The Larger Mirror add-on here fits The View Original only. A spare lens, though, fits both models — so an Original lens drops straight into your Sharp.

Choosing your model & size
The View Sharp is our improved version of The View — the same frame shape, with an upgraded mirror housing, refined placement, and a larger mirror for a clearer rear view.
The View (Original)
- The original rear-view mirror
- Sizes: Medium (145 mm) & Small (140 mm)
The View Sharp (New)
- Larger mirror, improved housing & placement
- Size: Medium (145 mm) only
Good to know: lenses swap freely between the two — a spare lens made for The View drops straight into The View Sharp, and vice versa. The mirrors don’t: a replacement mirror only fits the model it was made for. So pick whichever lens you like — just match a replacement mirror to your model.
Understanding the lens types
All lenses fit every View frame — Original and Sharp. The difference is what you’re riding into.
- Standard
- A neutral smoke tint that works across most conditions — cloudy mornings, sunny afternoons, everything in between. The safe all-rounder if you’re not sure.
- High Contrast
- An amber-tinted lens that sharpens terrain detail. On overcast days, forest paths, and gravel roads — where a regular smoke lens goes flat — this one keeps things crisp and readable.
- Reflective
- Mirrored coating for strong sun. Cuts light intensity on bright summer rides and looks the part while doing it.
- Polarized
- Eliminates glare from water, wet roads, and reflective surfaces. Especially good for waterside routes or riding just after rain.
- Photochromic
- Auto-adapts as the light changes. Starts nearly clear in low light and darkens automatically in the sun — no swapping lenses mid-ride.
Size Guide — The View
| Size | Lens width (A) | Lens height (B) | Temple | ED | DBC |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 140 | 54 | 122 | 135 | 73 |
| Medium | 145 | 59 | 122 | 142 | 77 |
Medium (145 mm) fits about 90% of adult faces. Small (140 mm) is for smaller or narrower faces.
The View is a single-shield sport wraparound with a rearview mirror integrated into the lens — a Norwegian-designed safety feature that lets you see the road behind you without turning your head.
It exists because of a near-miss: founder Carsten Juell Fongen was cycling in the Norwegian mountains when his son rode into him from behind. The fix wasn't to look back more — it was to never have to. One glance at the mirror gives you full awareness of approaching traffic, drafting riders, or open water behind you. No head-turn, no posture break, no speed lost.
Built for road cyclists, gravel riders, runners, rowers, and commuters who share the road, trail, or water.
Choose your lens. Five lens families across smoke and clear tints:
- Standard (Clear or Smoke) — everyday UV protection, from $89.
- High Contrast — sharpens definition in flat, overcast light.
- Reflective — mirrored finish that cuts glare on bright days.
- Polarized — kills glare off wet roads and water.
- Photochromic — auto-darkening; one lens for changing light (0–2 and 0–3 ranges).
The specs. UV400 protection. Lightweight, flexible TR90 frame. Single-shield wraparound coverage. Mirror integrated into the left lens, right lens, or both (dual). Two frame sizes: S·140 and M·145. The View Sharp and Original lenses are interchangeable across The View frames as long as it is same size.
FAQ
Which side is the mirror on? Your choice — left lens, right lens, or both (dual). Single-mirror is lighter; dual covers both sides.
What's the difference between polarized and photochromic? Polarized blocks glare from wet roads and water (fixed tint). Photochromic darkens and lightens automatically as the light changes, so one lens works dawn to dusk.
Can I change the lenses later? Yes — lenses are interchangeable across The View frames, and spare lenses are sold separately.
What size should I pick? M·145 is the standard fit; S·140 suits smaller faces.

I have always used a clip on mirror so I was hesitant to try these. However, I love them. It’s so cool to be able to quickly see behind me without the clip on mirror sticking up in my front view.
Gli occhiali sono fantastici. Mi danno una sensazione di sicurezza mai provata durante le mie uscite in bici.
Spedizione puntuale.
Let me start off by saying since I've been wearing my TriEye glasses I don't wear any other glasses I own. I have the black, blue, red, yellow, clear and now the white glasses. I truly love them and they definitely make cycling feel much safer. These are a must for any cyclist. Especially those of us who ride in the streets.
I hope they start making additional color frames. And it would be nice to have a camera in them. That option would truly have them at the top of cycling glasses.
One must have for everything. I bought it for cycling, and really are great sunglasses and the mirror is super useful. it makes riding the bike easier and safer.
And for making tourism in busies cities were pick pockets are common, you have the advantage to have eyes on your back.
Really recommended :)
These are my first trieye sunglasses and the work perfectly although I did buy the bigger mirror and changed it over as soon as I received it....Just what I needed....
Second pair for me. I use these for late in the day rides when I will finish at twilight. They work perfect.
I wanted to take a moment to let you know how much I truly enjoy my TriEye cycling glasses. The built‑in rear‑view mirror has completely transformed my rides, giving me a level of awareness and confidence I’ve never had with any other eyewear. It’s such a simple idea, yet brilliantly executed — the mirror is clear, intuitive to use, and never distracting. Your glasses have become an essential part of my gear, and I appreciate the thoughtfulness and innovation behind them. Thank you for creating a product that genuinely makes cycling safer and more enjoyable.

Great quality and innovative idea! I bought for my boyfriend to cycle safer in the city. Loved it!
My first pair was the photochromic lenses, and they are great but I often ride into the setting sun and it was hard to see. The Revo lenses are perfect because they are darker, plus they look very cool. Plus I got 2 of the larger mirrors for both pair and they are a game changer....better field of vision and much quicker recognition. I do have one suggestion...consider a pair with gradient tint , darker on top and lighter on the lower part of the lens. Would make a little easier to see screens on computer/phone.
A total game changer. I had seen this product advertised but I delayed in getting a pair. When vehicles started sneaking up on me it was time to invest in a pair for my safety. I can now see vehicles in a distance, judge how far they are and adjust my ride accordingly, no more surprises, no more being startled. I am no longer listening for tires as vehicles approach. I see them long before I hear them. Truly a game changer. If you are riding without them I encourage you to get a pair and save yourself a world of hurt.
I highly recommend these glasses. I've been riding with an out-front mirror attached to my riding glasses or helmet for over 2 years. These TriEye glasses are far superior in every way. They are so much clearer and I don't accidentally knock them out of alignment, which I did regularly to my other mirror attachment. Well worth the price for this safety attachment.
I love my trieye. What a good choice. I cannot ride my bike without it. I feel super safe.
I have four bicycles, including a recumbent and a road bike with Aero bars. Each one puts me in a different position, so I need to adjust the mirror for the bike of the day. That said, I prefer the view in the TriEye mirror over the bar end mirrors on each bike. Patience is needed in retraining your head and eye movements so there is a clear, steady view behind you. Don't expect a 100% solution - for example, I have had trouble making it effective with rain gear and more bulky jackets. The glasses also tend to fog more easily in the colder weather, and when there is actual fog in the air. For most other conditions, including night and pre-dawn rides, the glasses are effective, and provide a better rear view.
I use the Garmin radar on my bike computer that lets me know when cars are approaching. However, I don’t trust it 100% and I would always turn my head to double check before merging. After my first ride with the Trieye, I immediately noticed the difference because I was able to literally see the cars approaching behind me.
On another note, the first set of glasses they sent me got lost in the mail. I contacted Camille and she promptly sent me another pair, which I appreciated.
Inheriting several e-bikes I needed to find a practical solution to boost my awareness while cycling. These TriEye glasses have been a major win. The side mirror has enabled me to stay effortlessly informed about approaching traffic from the rear. Its seamless setup and intuitive use has exceeded my expectations. The lens delivers crystal-clear visibility, and the fit is remarkably secure and comfortable, staying perfectly in place on my face. I'm thoroughly impressed by the exceptional quality of these cycling glasses and highly recommend them to anyone looking to elevate their experience.
