The Clip is a standalone rearview mirror module that clips onto the eyewear you already own — prescription glasses, your favourite sunglasses, or safety eyewear. One glance gives you full awareness of what's behind you, without changing the glasses you love.

It's the TriEye rearview concept — born from founder Carsten Juell Fongen's near-miss cycling in the Norwegian mountains — adapted to fit almost any frame.

Built for cyclists and runners with prescription eyewear, commuters, industrial users in safety glasses, and anyone who wants to add rearview awareness to their existing frames.

The specs. UV400 lens included — choose Polarized Smoke or Clear Polycarbonate. Clips onto the left or right side of your frames. Two sizes: S·140 and M·145.

FAQ

Will it fit my glasses? The Clip is designed to clip onto most standard frames — prescription, sunglasses, or safety eyewear.

Which side should I mount it? Either — pick left or right to match how you ride and check your blind side.

Do I need a specific lens? The lens comes with it: Polarized Smoke for glare, or Clear Polycarbonate for low light.

Best addition

The clip on version is exactly what I was looking for because I could use them with my prescription glasses. They were cost effective to get the best of both worlds. I can now see behind me without the clip on mirror I was using also I am able to see clearly ahead of me and be protected from the sun with the polarized sun glasses.

Just got my "Clip" in clear, what a game changer.

Just got my "Clip" in clear , perfectly fit my riding glasses and all my glasses. The beauty of this product is that they can travel me anywhere on all my glasses. We have a motorhome, so no longer have to carry my riding glasses....the "Clip" will go on all my glasses , great for hire bikes. This is a game changer from my 20 year old helmet mirror which has dangerously started to become loose ....especially at speed ....downhill and in heavy traffic. I used to take my hand off the handlebars to adjust the helmet mirror. My Trieye "Clip" makes my trips much safer and stress free .....great product.

Good rearview mirror but ran to compatibility issue between polarized lens and bike computer screen

Unfortunately I had to return the product as I am unable to see my bike computer screen anymore while wearing the clip on top of my prescription glasses.. No matter how I set the backlight on the bike computer (IGPSport 300T), the bike computer is unreadable and appears totally black.

Works well over my aviator style prescription bifocals

Works well over my aviator style prescription bifocals. It took a little bit of trial and error to get the mirror aimed right but now I don't have to turn around to see what's behind me - I just have to turn my head a bit to the side and angle my head up/down a bit to clearly see everything behind me. I feel A LOT safer biking with the TriEye clip on than any other mirrors I've used on my bike.

TriEye clip on sunglasses

These were everything I’ve been looking for, they fit over my glasses well, I can read my GPS without having to remove them, and I am much more aware of traffic behind me! Thank you for perfecting these!! Love them!!

Not over the moon.

The actual clip is small and weak and not up to the quality of my other clip on lenses eg magnifiers and sun glasses. It only sits securely on one of my three pairs of specs. I bought the M size as I have average size glasses and it is considerably too big.it works but if finicky. I think I will continue to mostly use a helmet mirror. Maybe the non clip ons are a better thing.
Not all that great and over priced in my opinion.

Observation

This mirror works well. It’s more convenient than having wing mirrors. All you have do is tilt your head slightly and you see all

Love it!

When I first got them I was a little disappointed how small the mirror was, it took a little while to get it adjusted just right but now I love them, TriEye is so comfortable and works very well.

Excellent sun protector

Unfortunately I am having difficulty viewing through the mirror. I will keep trying, but it distracts me as I cycle on the road

Rearview anxiety

I purchased a pair of clip on over glasses.
Centre mounting is ok, however the clip on's tend to move around when cycling !
So when your wanting certainty about what's coming behind, you can't guarantee the mirror will be correct !
Would better to have clips either side as well as centre ??

Aweful. Total joke. Flip attachment for my sunglases. Worst customer service. No return instructions. You have been warned. Purchase a cheap rear view mirror attachment.

Hi Nancy,

We're really sorry your experience with The Clip didn't go the way it should have — that's genuinely frustrating to read, and we take it seriously.

On the return instructions: that's on us. They should be easy to find and clearly communicated, and if they weren't, we've let you down. Please reach out through our website chart or email and we'll sort the return straight away — no hoops.

The Clip is a small rear-view mirror that clips directly onto the temple of your existing sunglasses — designed to give cyclists a clear view of traffic from behind without ever having to turn their head. We'd genuinely love to understand what didn't work for you. But first things first — let's make sure you're taken care of.

Great sunglasses

The sun glasses are superb. The first time I wore them I just went “wow!” As I looked at a beautiful view the difference was amazing. I have the clip on lenses and I am still getting the hang of how to use the mirror and after 3 rides I have only now got the adjustment where I think it should be but I need more than a glance when I tilt move my head. I find the lenses work really well with a wide variety of light levels including quite low levels.

If you ride a road bike all you can see is yoyr left shoulder. Use only with upright townie bike or mountain bike. Don’t use for road bike.

That's a fair point for road cycling in an aggressive aero position! Many of our road cyclists find it works well once the mirror angle is dialed in to their riding position — it just takes a few rides to get used to. If you're finding it tricky, feel free to reach out and we'll help you find the setup! 😊

Great service

Loving the clipons, ordered a spare mirror which arrived in pieces. One email and replacement sent, excellent service and product

Really like your "TriEye" product because it's much safer seeing what's behind me rather than actually looking back. I highly recommend this to all cyclists!

So much safer!!

This is my second pair. Lost the first. And the week and a half I was without, I realized what a difference they make!!
So much safer!! Like others, it took 1-2 rides to get dialed in again, but now I hardly move my head, just a little tilt and I can see everything behind me.
Thanks, Tri-Eye!

Clip-on mirror

As a spectacle wearer, I bought the clip-on mirror. It clips on well and stays in place while riding. It’s taken 2-3 rides to get used to it and get the mirror set properly but I am very happy with it. It is the perfect solution for me.

Clip On fitting…

Having a rear view mirror is a big plus while riding my bicycle. Used it once so far riding uphill and downhill, so getting use to view was a bit different with each elevation of the ride. Although I wanted it to fit a bit higher on my glasses, the most stable position I found was fitting it all the way down and resting it on my glasses frame. Adding additional paddings on the clips might help but have not tried yet.
Overall it worked well. Have recommended it to several cyclists and rowers.

Outstanding product!

I have both the clear and polarized versions of the clip on and am extremely happy with both. I have no worries of the mirrors being knocked out of setting and checking to the side and behind me is a snap. Outstanding!

Works perfectly

Got rid of the handlebar rear view mirror! This works perfectly over my prescription glasses

Luv These clip ons

I had the regular bike Tri-Eyes, but need to ride with glasses now, so I switched to the Clip On Tri's. A little different setting up but works Great!

J
John Arenz (Cass Lake, US)
It got better

I have been using rear views that attached to my prescription glasses which worked okay and provided some security but the integrated ones on the clip ons are definitely an improvement, being lighter and easier to adjust.

Able to see what is behind you

I have the clip on version; because I need reading glasses. The Trieye works very well. I only have to rotate my head slightly to the left in order to see what is behind and to the left of me while riding my mountain bike. You have to remember to be looking straight ahead with your head up and not down , when viewing behind. The Trieye took me about 20 minutes into my usual 2 hour ride to get use to it. I would purchase the Trieye again and recommend Trieye with no reservations.

Joyce Gordon (Sun Valley, US)
Love these

What a great solution so I don’t have to wear contacts. The mirror is decent and stays in place.
