About TriEye
The Origin
TriEye is a small Scandinavian eyewear company built around one idea: you shouldn't have to turn your head to see what's behind you.
Our founder Carsten Juell Fongen got the idea while lying bleeding in a dusty road in the Norwegian mountains. He'd been cycling with his family when his son crashed into him from behind. A mirror would have prevented it — but a handlebar mirror vibrates, a helmet mirror catches wind, and over-the-shoulder glances take your eyes off the road. So we built a mirror that lives in the lens.
Since 2016, with international patents (granted in the USA in February 2022 and Europe in October 2022), a Public Choice award at Eurobike 2018 and a Gold at ISPO 2019, TriEye has become the rearview-mirror glasses used by cyclists, runners, and rowers in more than 40 countries. We work out of Norway and Sweden, with Carsten's three children gradually joining over the years — in product development, production, and sales.
Three frames now carry the same patented mirror: The View for sport, The Classic for everyday, and The Clip for glasses you already own.

THE CLASSIC
Lifestyle frame with integrated mirror. Looks like regular glasses, performs like sport eyewear. Lightweight and comfortable for running, commuting, and everyday use. Single mirror.
THE CLIP
Mirror clip-on for your own glasses. Adds rearview awareness to any pair — prescription, sunglasses, or safety glasses. Snap on to ride, remove when you arrive. Available in Clear and Polarized Smoke.
