View Sport, The View Original and The View Sharp: What Changed
View Sport and The View Original are the same glasses. View Sport was renamed The View Original in March 2026. The View Sharp launched at the same time with a new lens, a new mirror and mirror housing, and a new logo. Every View lens fits every View frame, but Sharp mirrors only fit Sharp frames.
If you read a review of View Sport, or bought a pair a few years ago, you already know The View Original. Only the name changed in March 2026. What did change that month is that The View Sharp arrived next to it, and that's where the parts start to differ. Is View Sport the same as The View?
Yes. View Sport and The View Original are the same glasses under two names. We renamed View Sport to The View Original in March 2026, and the frame, lens and mirror stayed exactly as they were. So a review, forum thread or marketplace listing that talks about View Sport is describing The View Original.
Both generations live on one product page, The View. You pick Original or Sharp there as a variant, along with the lens, the mirror side (left, right or dual) and the frame size.
What's new in The View Sharp?
Four things: a new lens, a new mirror, a new mirror housing and a new logo. The redesigned housing holds a larger mirror closer to your eye, for a clearer view of what's behind you. Like every TriEye, the mirror is integrated into the lens, in the lower outer corner, so you check traffic with a glance down instead of a shoulder check.
The View Sharp comes in Medium (M·145) only. The View Original also comes in Small (S·140), while stock lasts. On the product page, Sharp lenses carry "Sharp" in their name. New to a mirror in the lens? The Glance explains the eye movement.
Will my spare lenses fit?
Yes. Every View lens fits every View frame: View Sport, The View Original, View Air and The View Sharp. A lens bought for one drops straight into the others, and the swap takes about 30 seconds with no tools.
That makes The View Spare Lens the spare part for every View ever sold. Keep a clear or photochromic lens for dark mornings and a polarized one for bright water, and swap them as the light changes.
Which replacement mirror do I need?
It depends on your model. View Sport and The View Original use the same mirror, and within that generation you can switch between mirror sizes. Sharp mirrors fit only The View Sharp, and Original mirrors don't fit Sharp.
- View Sport or The View Original: the View Replacement Mirror. It comes in Left (US and Europe) or Right (UK), and in Medium or Large.
- View Air: the same View Replacement Mirror fits.
- The View Sharp: the View Replacement Mirror does not fit. Contact us and we'll help you with the right Sharp mirror.
The View Replacement Mirror does not fit The Classic.
How can I tell which View I have?
Look at the logo. The View Sharp carries the new TriEye logo; View Sport and The View Original carry the older one. If you bought from trieye.com, your order confirmation also tells you: Sharp lenses have "Sharp" in the name.

Yes. View Air is discontinued and the last pairs are in the sale, but The View Spare Lens and the View Replacement Mirror both fit it.
Do the warranty and returns differ between View models?
No. All TriEye eyewear has a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects and 30-day returns.
