REAR-VIEW MIRROR POSITION
Make it yours (optional)
The View is a single-shield sport wraparound with a rearview mirror integrated into the lens — a Norwegian-designed safety feature that lets you see the road behind you without turning your head.
It exists because of a near-miss: founder Carsten Juell Fongen was cycling in the Norwegian mountains when his son rode into him from behind. The fix wasn't to look back more — it was to never have to. One glance at the mirror gives you full awareness of approaching traffic, drafting riders, or open water behind you. No head-turn, no posture break, no speed lost.
Built for road cyclists, gravel riders, runners, rowers, and commuters who share the road, trail, or water.
Choose your lens. Five lens families across smoke and clear tints:
- Standard (Clear or Smoke) — everyday UV protection, from $89.
- High Contrast — sharpens definition in flat, overcast light.
- Reflective — mirrored finish that cuts glare on bright days.
- Polarized — kills glare off wet roads and water.
- Photochromic — auto-darkening; one lens for changing light (0–2 and 0–3 ranges).
The specs. UV400 protection. Lightweight, flexible TR90 frame. Single-shield wraparound coverage. Mirror integrated into the left lens, right lens, or both (dual). Two frame sizes: S·140 and M·145. The View Sharp and Original lenses are interchangeable across The View frames as long as it is same size.
FAQ
Which side is the mirror on? Your choice — left lens, right lens, or both (dual). Single-mirror is lighter; dual covers both sides.
What's the difference between polarized and photochromic? Polarized blocks glare from wet roads and water (fixed tint). Photochromic darkens and lightens automatically as the light changes, so one lens works dawn to dusk.
Can I change the lenses later? Yes — lenses are interchangeable across The View frames, and spare lenses are sold separately.
What size should I pick? M·145 is the standard fit; S·140 suits smaller faces.
