I haven’t seen many comparisons between the TriEye-style mirror and traditional bicycle mirrors mounted on standard glasses. I’ve used a mirror attached to my Oakley glasses for quite some time, and it does have the advantage of a larger mirror. However, there are several drawbacks: the glasses can’t fully close, the mirror tends to shake, and it looks somewhat awkward. That said, it has functioned well overall.
The TriEye system, by contrast, has a much cleaner and more streamlined design. I initially thought I would need to turn my head about 20 degrees to see behind me, but in reality it’s closer to 3–5 degrees, which is negligible. My only initial concern was that the mirror felt a bit small. After some research, I discovered they offer a larger mirror option that many users recommend, which I’ve already ordered.
One major advantage over the Oakley-mounted bike mirror is stability. The TriEye mirror does not shake, resulting in a much clearer and more reliable view. I’ve only been using it for two days, but so far I’m very impressed and consider it a worthwhile investment.
I wanted to take a moment to let you know how much I truly enjoy my TriEye cycling glasses. The built‑in rear‑view mirror has completely transformed my rides, giving me a level of awareness and confidence I’ve never had with any other eyewear. It’s such a simple idea, yet brilliantly executed — the mirror is clear, intuitive to use, and never distracting. Your glasses have become an essential part of my gear, and I appreciate the thoughtfulness and innovation behind them. Thank you for creating a product that genuinely makes cycling safer and more enjoyable.

I row a single skull on the busy Brisbane river and these glasses help me see the multiple obstacles behind me. Fantastic idea, and they were a birthday present from my wife. Thanks.
Takes awhile to adjust how to use them but I've found them great. Less headturning and destablishing the boat. I can see the bank and turns of the river quite clearly and what is behind me. Several from our club tried them on and are now going to order their own

Great quality and innovative idea! I bought for my boyfriend to cycle safer in the city. Loved it!
When I first saw the TriEye glasses I mentioned to my wife that I would love to have a pair and with my birthday around the corner I did get them. I started riding them on my regular group rides and everyone asked "What's that on you glasses?" and they had to try them on. Now 70% of my group rides are wearing TriEye. It's a revolution. There is no being too safe and TrEye gives us that added advantage needed. youtube.com/@mickbitz
I just started using the Tri-Eye View Sport Revo Max and after a few rides, I LOVE them. As the training video suggests, it takes a couple rides to get used to them, but with a slight turn of the head, I can see any easily traffic behind me.
One other initial comment/question: I ride almost daily and spend 30-40% of my time riding on steep hills. My head position is the same on flat and downhill rides, but it is slightly further forward on climbs. I was wondering if Tri-Eye or mountain bike/ road bike climbers have any suggestions? Obviously, going on steep uphill climbs also inhibits the turning of the head in the same way as a flat or downhill ride. It might just be that I need to get used to it or try to keep my head in the same position at all times.
Again, I LOVE the Tri-Eyes and would highly recommend them!
They're great when riding back from work. Normally, it's much darker.
Great. Even after loosing prevoius model I bought another one. I can't feel safe without those whe biking.
The mirror has made a huge difference for me as my regular gravel bike route on Waiheke Island just off the coast of Auckland, NZ, is on a hilly, narrow no-shoulder road for most of it. It’s not highly trafficked but the vehicles tend to go fast and it’s great being able to see what’s coming up behind me. I feel a lot more confident on the ride. Really good product and think it would be great for city commuters.
I’ve been riding with a mirror since forever and would not ride without one. But they can be frustrating when they get bumped, trying to get them back to their original set up. Unlike those I’ve used, mounted on a rod attached to my helmet, the TriEye mirror is protected in its own little housing and never gets out of whack. There is an adjustment as the mirror is smaller but as I tell fellow riders, the purpose is to see “car” or “no car” and not to read license plates. These are perfect for that and I just bounty a second pair so as to never be without. Good product!
Having used helmet mounted mirrors and tried handle bar mirrors this is the best option. Easy to use, great rear view, no vibrations or fogging. Brought some for my wife to use
I am really enjoying the glasses, and the prescription insert works well. I already have Garmin Varia radar, but this added ability to see what is behind me gives me great comfort. The sunglass tint is a bit darker than I'd like for flat light but still worth it.
